Wim van der Ende

I am Wim van der Ende, founder of Olive Tree Support. My career began in the greenhouse and never really left it. Over the past 25 years, I have worked guiding tomato, cucumber, and bell pepper cultivation in the Netherlands, and on various high-tech projects in Asia, Europe, North and Central America, and the Middle East. From daily crop management to the start-up of a brand-new greenhouse complex, I have guided growers through every stage of the season.

I bring that combination — hands-on crop experience and international project experience — to your business. I look first at the plant, then at the data, and only after that at the technology.

Olive Tree Support works with a limited number of clients per season, so that every grower receives genuine attention and follow-up.

Olive Tree Support is affiliated with Cropex Group, a network of independent cultivation specialists. This means expertise from multiple disciplines can be called upon whenever your crop or project requires it.

Where the name comes from

The olive tree stands for deep roots, patience and growth that spans generations. That's exactly how we look at growing crops: results come from careful observation, calm adjustment, and a crop that is built up season after season. Support says the rest — we stand alongside the grower.

The name Olive Tree Support was not chosen by accident. In the Bible, the olive tree is a symbol of life, hope and connectedness with God. In Romans 11, Paul writes about believers as branches grafted onto the noble olive tree.

“If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root…” — Romans 11:17

These words remind me that by grace I get to share in God's covenant and life. That's the foundation of my work: from there I want to support others and be a blessing. Just as the olive tree bears fruit through its deep roots, I want to contribute to sustainable growth — in people, in businesses and in trust.
