About Me:
My name is Wim van der Ende. For over 25 years, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the greenhouse horticulture sector, supporting growers worldwide in optimizing their cultivation strategies. What drives me in everything I do is my faith in God. It is the foundation of my life and work. I believe that I am called to use my knowledge, skills, and experience to be a blessing to others — both at home and abroad.
My career began in the family business, after which I gained experience at organizations such as Koppert Biological Systems, Delphy, and the Van der Knaap Group. In 2024, I started Olive Tree Support, a company where I bring together all my acquired knowledge and passion. Whether it involves cultivation advice, training professionals, or developing educational materials for students, I believe in sharing knowledge, helping people grow, and building together towards a sustainable, fruitful future.
I work worldwide in countries such as China, Russia, Canada, South Africa, and Japan. My expertise includes climate strategy, IPM, irrigation and fertilization, labor efficiency, and crop planning. Additionally, I am a hybrid instructor at Lentiz MBO Westland, where I enjoy using my practical experience to inspire the next generation of growers.
What distinguishes me is my commitment, reliability, and a desire to be of service. In my work, I aim to reflect God’s love, care, and wisdom.
Why Olive Tree Support?
The name Olive Tree Support was chosen intentionally. In the Bible, the olive tree is a powerful symbol of life, hope, and connection with God. In Romans 11, Paul writes about believers as branches grafted onto the noble olive tree. In verse 17 it says: “But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root…” And in verse 24: “…how much more will those who are natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree!”
These words remind me that by grace I may partake in God’s covenant and life. This forms the core of my existence and my work. From this deep foundation, I want to support others and be a blessing.
Olive Tree Support stands not only for practical support in greenhouse horticulture, but is rooted in faith, focused on growth, and always connected to the Source of life. Just as the olive tree bears fruit through its deep roots, I aim to contribute to sustainable growth in my work — in people, in businesses, and in trust!
